This book had me caught from the first page A nice drawing and a horrible poem an unusual combination that did the trick The beginning of the book was strong the desperate mother trying to recreate the daughter she lost What I missed though is interaction between Charlotte and Gilman than the almost obligatory way he s being there for her also desperately trying to help her The last chapters were confusing like parts of the story were skipped to make it fit into the amount of pages books like these always have The rhyme in the text was not annoying to me but I didn t find that it added anything either All in all a horrific read
